FAQ

FAQ

Where are Clos Alkio wines made?

Clos Alkio is based in Gratallops, a village in the Priorat wine region of Catalonia, Spain, where our own winery is located. Our vineyards lie around Gratallops and nearby El Lloar, where the region’s distinctive slate soils and Mediterranean climate shape the character of our wines.

Are your wines suitable for vegans?

Yes. We do not use any animal-derived ingredients or processing aids in our winemaking, so all our wines are suitable for vegans. However, not all our wines are officially certified vegan.

Which countries does your online shop deliver to?

You can place orders for delivery to Spain and Finland through our online shop. For deliveries to other EU countries, please also contact us at info@closalkio.com so we can confirm delivery availability. We currently do not ship online orders outside the EU. Country-specific restrictions may apply.

Where can I buy Clos Alkio wines?

You can purchase our wines through our online shop or during a visit to our winery in Gratallops. In Finland, selected wines are also available through Alko. Availability and vintages vary between sales channels. If you are looking for a particular wine or your nearest retailer, please contact us at info@closalkio.com.

How do you approach sustainability in your vineyards and winemaking?

We tend our vineyards by hand, from winter pruning to harvest. We use only products permitted in organic viticulture and work to support biodiversity and soil health. Our focus is on growing high-quality grapes and keeping our vineyards healthy for the long term. In the cellar, we follow a minimal-intervention approach to winemaking. We are working towards organic certification.
